Constance Mauro: Artist's Statement

These monoprints were created by applying one color at a time to a Plexiglas plate. Transparency of the inks allows a certain depth to be created through the layering process. One piece may combine from four to eight colors. My images are experiments, each having it's own life which is developed in the printing process, not preconceived.
