RAC Members Summer RED challenge

Our winter challenge was "White"—snow, silence, cold. This summer, we are flipping the thermometer when Rochester is buried in green. "Red" is the punch that cuts through the lushness—a fresh sunburn, a ripe July strawberry, or the heat off the charcoal grill.

Make no mistake. Red is just as brutal to paint as white. White forced us to find structure in nothing. Red challenges us to control total chaos. It’s a loud pigment that easily muddies, flattens, or hijacks a canvas if you aren't careful.

Bring one original piece that harnesses that heat. We'll meet up to grab a drink, talk shop, and see who tamed the color.
